Data DevOps Engineer

You are a service-oriented problem solver who likes to play on a team and dig into the details? You are not afraid to learn something new? – Then we, the team of the Monitoring Data Lake, want your support as an (Placement) DevOps Engineer.

Our major tool stack is an Elastic based solution, fully containerized, deployed with a fingertip and follows the infrastructure as code principle. We run it at multiple clouds around the globe.

You will work across the whole stack: from Elasticsearch, Kibana and Logstash all the way down to OS-Levels, Package Management with Helm and OpenStack as interface to the clouds. Some things we use:

• 
  ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) hosted on Openstack
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• Jenkins
• Helm (K8s package management)
• Grafana + Prometheus
• Python (in-house stack automation tool)

Security DevOps Placement Engineer

This role is for a placement within the SAP MultiCloud Security DevOps team.
This role will offer students exposure and practical experience with the following technologies:

1. AWS, Azure, GCP and AliCloud
2. Terraform
3. Python
4. Shell Scripting
5. RESTful APIs
6. Kubernetes and Docker

The role will help students develop skills around cloud security investigation and analysis, and programming skills around mitigation education in SAP. It will also help students develop skills with data collection and visualization for business reporting.

SAP DevOps Placement Engineer

Architecture DevOps Placement Engineer

We work within Multicloud in SAP to explore, design and develop innovative solutions to security and network challenges. This role will involve working with the team to bring proof of concept ideas through to design and build stage for analysis as solutions to cloud security and automation challenges.

• 
  Experience/Interest of Git, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Packer and Azure DevOps (or an equivalent modern CI/CD)
• Experience/Interest related to architectural design and IT security
• Experience/Interest collaborating and influence others to improve architectural design, operational processes, and security posture
• Familiarity with open source cloud, applications and public clouds (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)

Who you are

• Organised person who is able to multi-task to meet prioritise
• Good organizer, priority driven, and able to multitask to meet service priorities
• Experience/Interest in Python (or similar), Shell Scripting, Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Analytics.
• We use all major cloud providers in SAP, so we would like a candidate who wants variety and is interested in getting exposure and hands on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and AliCloud.
• Motivated to learn new technology stacks, designs and approaches to technical problems.
• We’re a friendly, inclusive bunch so don’t be afraid to be yourself.
• We will provide comprehensive training in the future field of work
• Student in penultimate year of university.
• Studying a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing or similar degree.
• Available to start the 13-month placement in July 2023
