The Role
This is a National role, which includes both Administration/Helpdesk related tasks reporting into the firm’s National Head of Technology Support and Administration The individual will form part of a team of ten supporting 1400+ users Nationwide.
The role is London based and will entail some travel to the firm’s regional sites for helpdesk, administration and project work.
The standard hours are 9.00-17.00, but these may vary within the overall Helpdesk shift pattern of 8.00 -18.00. In addition, there will be a requirement for weekend work and or overtime.
The role entails the following aspects of Technology administration and includes, but is not limited to:
- Answering Helpdesk telephone calls, monitoring an additional mailbox & logging them in a ticketing system
- Arranging all new starter equipment ahead of start dates
- Arranging collections for recycling of all old/broken equipment for all offices
- Arranging new laptop & mobile renewals every 4 years
- Be the first point of contact & liaison with suppliers for software licenses, renewals & equipment orders
- Dealing with quotes
- Maintaining up-to-date records of all laptops and mobiles allocated to users in all offices
- Making sure the London office server room is always clear and hazard free
- Managing all stock orders & stock levels per site, including general IT equipment, mobile phones & laptops
- Managing the Administration inbox
- Monthly checks to make sure all costs are accounted for on the company card, ready to send over to the Finance team for review
- Organisation of couriers and deliveries
- Organising the return of all equipment from leavers
- Site visits to all offices, to organise and tidy server rooms
- Support to National Technology Head of Technology Support & Administration
- Using different types of software such as M-Files, Active Directory to maintain up-to-date records of all users
- Using Microsoft 365 daily – Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote
