We have a vacancy for a Technician at Blairgowrie High School.
Working as a whole school Technician you will support the teaching staff and facilitate learning and teaching at all levels within the Design & Technology, HE, Science and Art departments.
You will ensure that equipment and teaching areas are maintained, and adequate levels of materials and equipment are available for use by teachers and students.
You will also be expected to participate fully in the support provided by the department to the wider school community.
The Individual
This role is ideal for a capable and confident individual who is willing to take on a variety of tasks.
The successful candidate will need to be well organised and have excellent time management skills.
The successful candidate should also ideally possess:
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and proactive
- Supportive team member
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and remain calm under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on your own and with others
- Woodworking experience would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Full training will be provided, but we require a positive attitude and a commitment to providing a first-class service to both pupils and colleagues.
