Why Hereford?
Embedding HEINEKEN Herefordshire as the Global Home of Cider is a challenge we all embrace. Our historic Herefordshire heartland is home to the world’s largest Cider production site, our cider mill at Ledbury and more than 5,000 acres of orchards. We also partner with local growers as we use more tha 20% of all apples grown in the UK to make our celebrated cider brands. From Strongbow and Bulmers to Old Mout, a spirit of innovation inspires our craft - and with a string of new styles and flavours to enjoy including our new brand Inchs and our summer favourite Strongbow Rosé, our future is one you’ll want to be part of.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for a Canning or Packaging Engineer to work in our brewing or packaging departments at our Hereford Cider plant which is home to some of the nation’s favourite cider brands, so with that in mind, we need to make sure our machinery is in top condition!

On top of being passionate about your job and able to work in a fast – paced environment, you’ll ideally have the following:
- Necessary trade qualifications (NVQ or CITB Apprenticeship and/or an HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) and preferably with an electrical bias
- Previous experience working in a similar highly – automated and safety critical manufacturing site
- Previous experience in planned maintenance techniques and Computerised Maintenance Management systems,
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Confidence and ability to work autonomously

This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few.
Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
