GSA are recruiting for a Technician to join the team at our Highlands and Islands campus.
We are seeking a multidisciplinary 3d maker who will enjoy working in a creative and dynamic educational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Creative Campus Workshop which incorporates woodworking, laser cutting and digital prototyping equipment to support students and researchers working in Design Innovation.
You will support and maintain a welcoming and accessible community workshop responsive to student needs while ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines and best practice, passing on your skills and developing new areas of work.
You should be qualified to HND level or have equivalent experience in a relevant area of making. You should be able to provide innovative solutions to creative problems using a range of workshop and studio processes. You should be interested in blending traditional craft skills with current innovations and be open to experimentation with materials and processes.
Please note that this role is based at our campus in Forres (Altyre Estate, Forres, Moray).
