- Position Title: Finance Assistant
- Team/Department: Finance and Operations
- Contract: Part time – 14 hours per week, 1 day in the Office TBC
- Salary: Up to £25k pro rata
- Location: London
- Reporting to: Finance & Operations Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time opportunity working for an innovative and creative company passionate about their products and services to clients.
Working in a small team that supports all the finance requirements of the business your key responsibilities will be:
Accounts Payable
- Process all creditor invoices onto Sage 50 Business (circa 50-100 each month)
- Process weekly payment run and enter payments onto Sage.
- Liaise with Production Team on any due/overdue payments.
- Streamline process.
- Manage AP emails.
Accounts Receivable
- Process client invoices as requested by team.
- Send out PDF copies of invoices to clients.
- Liaise with clients on outstanding invoices & payments.
Banking
- Enter any other weekly payments (DD’s SO’s etc)
- Weekly bank reconciliation
Other
- Processing of employee expenses and streamlining and improving current process
- Ad-hoc finance tasks as required including reporting and analysis.
Requirements of you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical and logical approach to your work.
- Thorough understanding of debits and credits within accounting and decent level of Excel is required.
- At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar role is required.
- Must have good accounting experience and knowledge to at least Trial Balance level.
- Prior knowledge of Sage systems is an advantage as would any prior audit experience.
- Can do attitude, willingness to get stuck in and get on with task in hand.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Must have excellent written communication skills.
