About the role:
Reporting to our Content Development Manager of the Support Team, the Technical Writer will be responsible for providing an amazing customer & employee experience both by leading by example, and providing support for junior team members. You will work closely with numerous departments and subject matter experts to develop our internal and client facing knowledge bases, and expand our offerings to the rest of the business.
By creating clear and concise articles, quick reference guides, and implementing best documentation practices, you will help to maintain an environment that promotes self-service. Your impact on our customer and internal experience will make you a key contributor on the Support Team to improve the customer experience and promote world class support.
A typical day will include:
- Developing client facing articles, such as technical troubleshooting, feature setup, functionality articles, for diverse audiences.
- Researching Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence to verify accuracy of article content.
- Collaborating with leadership, project teams, and subject matter experts to gather information about features, technical troubleshooting, and processes.
- Presenting process, article, or release announcements in team meetings or via other means of communication.
This role is a fit for you if:
- You are comfortable leading documentation project work
- You have experience with Authoring Management Systems such as Madcap Flare
- You pride yourself on your ability to write for different audiences and in accordance with a predetermined style guide and have an interest in creating well designed content that promotes an excellent customer experience
- You are a good listener, can multitask, have excellent time management skills and can work independently and handle ambiguity
- You have experience providing technical documentation to either internal business teams or external clients
- You are detail oriented, enjoy organizing information, and have strong problem solving and analytical skills
