Position Overview:
M Chá Bar is seeking a professional, reliable, and highly motivated contractor with a passion to fill the position of Technical Writer, Operations. The successful candidate will plan, write and edit operating procedures to improve our store operations team. The Technical Writer will support administrative tasks and continue to improve our store processes through document management and assessment reviews.
In addition, your role will be to:
- Develop, maintain, and improve store management related processes and tools including scheduling, delivery, health and safety concerns in the store and drink preparation
- Develop, prepare and edit flow charts and checklists for daily store operations
- Document, update and/or support the implementation and tracking of HR and departmental policies
- Assist to develop and edit processes, guidelines, reference documents, manuals, and templates
- Provide support through the quality review and coordination of changes before the release of interdepartmental policies and procedures
- Document and track changes to standard operating procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree specializing in Communications, English, Business, Project Management or related field
- Previous experience at a food industry technical writer
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in quality management, project management or operations
- Working knowledge of project management activities, deliverables, and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to M Chá Bar locations for store inspection
- Detail-oriented with the ability to understand both operational and project management procedures and process flows.
- Ability to work independently to produce policies and procedures under support from senior management
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, PDF, Teams, SharePoint, or familiarity with other database software.
- PMP Certification considered an asset.
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 2 months
Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
