IM Separation Program

Our client aims to be autonomous in use and management of systems to support the A220 by 2025 (date to be confirmed) . These systems support the following organizational capabilities:

• 
  Enterprise Resource Planning (or ERP) which includes Finance, Procurement, Plant Maintenance, Quality and other functions
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) systems which support the production of the A220
• Human Resources (HR) including core HR, learning and certification, time and attendance and others
• Customer Services (CS) including the customer portal, technical publications
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM aka Engineering) which includes design applications for all parts and systems of the A220 product
• IT Infrastructure
• Enterprise tools and platforms
• Cybersecurity, access management

As part of the overall IM Separation Program for PLM, a variety of solutions to achieve systems autonomy including lifting and shifting certain Business Managed applications into the Airbus environment, transitioning needed capabilities to existing Airbus applications, or implementing new applications (called greenfield applications). These solutions are being implemented in stages or releases, started in late 2022 and continuing into 2024.

Furthermore, a new Engineering Processes, Methods, Tools and Data (PMTD) Operating Model has been created to support and enable the Engineering business unit.

The IM Separation Program will bring about significant need for new tools development, migration of existing tools and deployment of existing tools from other business units to drive global Processes, Methods and Tools alignment.

Your mission

Reporting to the Section Chief PMTD - IM Separation and PLM Transformation, the Technical Writer role will include the implementation of a standardized information framework for PMTD deliverables and applications and producing documentation in accordance with the standards and the targeted audience.

Responsibilities include :

• 
  Contribute to overall Business & Technical (functional and non-functional) requirements for Business Managed Tools documentation.
• Gather information from subject-matter experts and business analysts to develop, organize and write procedures, technical specifications and process documentation.
• Create or amend existing documentation as required to support the project deliverables.
• Verify documentation and make corrections by giving correct structure, format and writing style to be used in all PMTD deliverables.
• Give coaching and support to interested parties on technical documentation guidelines for style, presentation and technical language for PMTD deliverables.
• Support documents classification requirements in accordance with Airbus IP, data sensitivity and Export Control.
• Implement and maintain a standardized information framework for all PMTD documents.

The skills we are looking for :

• 
  5-10 years of technical documentation experience in engineering or software domains, experience in the aerospace industry is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation of information frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matters.
• You are a team player with strong communication skills who interfaces well with the many business partners involved.
• You have superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• You have good analytical, planning, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• You are motivated, autonomous, results-oriented, show good team spirit and have a structured and proactive working method.
• Bilingual (spoken and written) in French and English.
