Experian are seeking a Technical Team Lead to join ECS, a customer facing business unit with an exciting and innovative product and marketing roadmap.

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical team who build and update Experian.co.uk (logged out experience) as well as Optimisation campaigns across the web estate (both logged in and logged out experience) and Experimentation to phase product & feature rollouts, and validate new ideas

You will be a key member of the Marketing Management Team working closely with peers across Marketing to contribute to the Marketing Strategy, influence quarterly plans and represent the technical team in all relevant Marketing forums.

Whilst the roadmap initiatives support the Ecommerce team; you will be a key part of the Technology community and work closely with all development teams to share best practice, such as information security, and nurture technology talent.

We need people who can help us build exciting tests and journeys for our customers, whilst also helping us keep ECS as a truly great place to work. We are looking for a Technical Team Lead who has a passion for leading people and we hope you might be the one!

What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian

We're looking for someone with a real passion for building, supporting and leading engineering teams including recruitment, coaching and mentoring, with an expert knowledge of software engineering and delivery principles and able to demonstrate that you’ve used these in a commercial setting.

This role would suit someone with a clear understanding of business requirements and working confidently with other teams. You will be comfortable with balancing the long and short-term delivery needs of the business, focusing on process and delivery improvements, with a keen eye on speed of delivery and flexing to changing business needs, while effectively escalating problems that have a wider scope than their team, supporting to bring it to a successful conclusion.

We use the following technologies to build our products and manage our Ecommerce roadmap. These are not mandatory but any experience or knowledge of these is beneficial:

  • JavaScript technologies, including Node.js, React.js or Vue.js
  • Development and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins and Travis
  • AWS
  • Understanding and experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience using or managing front end optimisation and experimentation tools
  • Has worked in an agile delivery team ideally Agile methodology.
