Technical Support Manager
Salary: From £42,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell)

About the role:
The Jisc cloud solutions team exists to help our members and customers exploit public cloud effectively, with a particular focus on security, environmental sustainability, and cost management.

In this new exciting role you will build Cloud sales opportunities across Jisc members and customers. Developing relationships with the decision makers within those organisations we serve to best position Jisc Cloud Solutions to identify new opportunities for business development.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Work with the Cloud Services Engagement Lead, Jisc Relationship Management and Sales teams to create sales opportunities, and develop appropriate technical solutions to positively influence the customer’s intent to buy
  • Examine product and/or service penetration for each existing cloud customer account, acting accordingly to increase product uptake and usage
  • Support the delivery of incremental and new revenue streams for Jisc Relationship Management and Sales teams
  • Provide expert technical knowledge of Jisc’s cloud service portfolio, effectively demonstrating products, services and solutions, confidently explaining to customers how we will integrate them into existing infrastructure

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Experience of service design and delivery in a digital environment
  • Ability to capture customer requirements and translate them into high- and low-level solution designs
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
