Technical Support Engineer - Workshops

British Airways has been flying for over 100 years and our success has been driven by our team’s passion and drive for excellence. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story.

Great journeys require first-class aircraft. That’s why our world class engineering function is so important to the British Airways customer experience. In our team, you get to work in unrivalled facilities on one of the most diverse fleets around. Get ready to push your engineering skills to ensure our customers fly in the safest, most reliable aircraft in the skies.

In return for keeping our fleet at the forefront of the sector, you’ll receive great rewards and lots of scope to develop your engineering skills and progress your career.

Fleet Support Facility is a dynamic operational facility, providing specialist Workshop Engineering Support to the BA Operation and 3rd Party Customers. Your role would be to act as the focal point of contact for the team, coordinate and manage technical solutions, utilising your own Part 21G Engineering approvals, while also working with OEMs, such as Boeing and/or Airbus, to obtain and define technical solutions outside of normal workscope/maintenance data.

You will work with both the management and production team to ensure day-to-day compliance activities are up to date and supporting workshop activities to ensure the team remain Compliant to perform their duties within scope of approvals/authorisations. You need to be an experienced and confident engineer, a flexible team player, able to multitask, lead by example and possess excellent Leadership qualities, to enable you to technically lead and influence an established experienced team within the section.

This is an exciting time for Aircraft Workshop Services, which is undergoing massive changes as we head into a new era of Maintenance activities utilising new technologies along with traditional proven methodologies. If you are interested in being part of the team, leading, developing and implementing significant change to our business, this could be the job role for you.

At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.

Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
