What you’ll do
- Provide integrated solutions for critical IMITS applications; and design and provide solutions to core and customized infrastructure components including Active Directory administration; domain settings; generic account strategy; digital certificate delivery; DNS and firewalls; timeouts; AppLocker, etc.
- Coordinates service planning for both small and large-scale systems initiatives, working closely with business units, functional area managers, senior IT team and architecture team members to define the goals, objectives and plans that direct systems design and implementation activities. Resolves problems and scheduling conflicts and provides status updates and reports
- Research new technologies related to unique clinical / business requirements including enterprise-wide solution strategies (e.g. Kiosks and tracking boards; application and desktop virtualization such as Unidesk, Uniprint, VMWare / VMSphere, Hyperconverge, Nutanix, etc.)
- Collaborate with HA Solutions Support Team, APTA Team, IMITS technical teams, Service Providers and external resources to ensure holistic end-to-end delivery of integrated technical solutions to the client. This includes supporting project and change management activities, and implementation of approved solutions and plans in a test environment
- Support IT Service Management and daily operations such as problem management, application release, patching, change management, etc.
- Support the analysis, design, development, consultation, service planning, and implementation of integrated technical solutions working closely with business units, functional leads, IMTIS technical teams and external resources to fulfill client’s business and clinical needs. Obtain final approval for the technical solution from the HA Solution Support Technical Lead and other internal IMITS teams
- Engage clients and maintain ongoing communication as part of fulfilling the role’s core accountabilities, and provide issue resolution support under the direction of HA Solution Support Technical Lead
- Support the development of formalized solution and process documentation that add further insight and depth of knowledge to the solution area as well as other supporting documentation including but not limited to technical documentation, technical diagrams, training materials, standard operating procedures, and general communications materials
- Support application upgrades and special projects identified by the APTA Lead, HA Solution Support Technical Lead and IMITS Client Services; work with business and technical stakeholders to support the HA Solution Support Technical Lead in the design and implementation of technical solutions
- Participate in all required team, governance and client engagement meetings in support of fulfilling the role’s core accountabilities
- Adhere to direction, processes and requirements as defined by the HA Solution Support Technical Lead as well as Manager Workplace Technology and Services
- Perform other related duties as required
- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in information technology or related discipline, one or more certifications in a solution product area such as VMWare or Citrix certification, and seven (7) years of recent related with at least two IT disciplines including technical analysis / systems analysis from an enterprise environment in a large, complex, multi-site organization.

- As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
- Extensive experience and knowledge in technical and networking architecture; Active Directory; systems analysis; security; server infrastructure; application development, testing, QA environment; and other platforms for complex enterprise
- Experience in designing, testing and implementing co-existence and migration strategies for introducing new workstation infrastructure technologies; and in developing and maintaining related process standards that are effective and relevant to an organization
- Supporting the documentation of integrated solutions with emphasis on security, architecture, requirements and technical configurations supported by systems analysis
- Ability to comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
- Ability to translate clinical and business needs to technical solution requirements
- Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to resolve technical issues
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to drive towards goals and attain results
- Demonstrated experience in exercising strong communications and interpersonal skills to effectively relate to a diverse group of stakeholders including conveying complex technical concepts in easy to understand terms
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, focusing on clients, and working in a cross-functional environment
- Working knowledge of application development, testing, QA environment and other platforms for complex enterprise
- Understanding of project management and change management
- Excellent demonstrated analytical and technical skills
- Knowledge of Architecture Frameworks (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework)

Salary Range: $67,864 - $97,555 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
