Technical Support Engineer required in Woking

At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff to work in all kinds of roles in schools for over a decade. We’re currently looking for a dedicated and hardworking network manager to work full-time at a fantastic school in Portsmouth

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality Technical Support Engineer professionals to work with these schools and ensure they continue to run smoothly.

We are looking for an IT specialist who can provide specialist management know-how in this crucial area so that this local school may continue to thrive and prosper.

Working hours are Monday – Friday

About the role

As the Network Manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of the IT Network . Your duties as a Technical Support Engineer can include:

• Working with senior staff members on strategic planning
• Overall responsibility for management and development of the network.
• Assessing the schools requirements and making recommendations based on the current and future needs of the school.
• Ensuring value for money on any and all school projects.
• Ensuring the school complies with its GDPR obligations.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Experience planning and upgrading a school IT Network system.
• An excellent understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working within a school environment
• Experience working in a school or college environment as a Technical Support Engineer or similar.
• Experience working with outside contractors to provide excellent value for money.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Commitment to the school's vision.
