Engineering Technical Support Officer - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 Month
Contracting Authority: National Crime Agency
Location: London office 5 days per week
Please note that, due to the nature of this requirement, active SC Clearance is a pre-requisite and application without cannot be considered.
The National Crime Agency leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime, protecting the public by targeting and pursuing those criminals who pose the greatest risk to the UK.
As an Engineering Technical Support Officer your main responsibilities would be to:
- Assisting in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support of technical systems to a professional (ITIL certified) standard and to meeting user requirements.
- Provide assistance in maintaining and upgrading technical systems in line with technical projects and aid the support of technical networks and infrastructure.
- Assists with the current pool of TI technical engineers in their essential roles and is in process of transferring their skills and knowledge to NCA staff who will then be better placed to look after the TI Intelligence networks to provide full critical support, upgrades, development and maintenance.
You’ll have:
- Relevant Infrastructure support and fault diagnosis.
- Proven experience in an IT field.
- Experience of effectively working as part of a team.
- Networking - Cisco, Fortinet & Dell. Specifically - configuring, installing of networks and components.
It would also be useful for you to have;
- ITIL Service Management.
