6 month fixed term contract
As a Delivery Solutions Manager, you will be part of the team managing our outbound and delivery operations from our UK and EU warehouses. We take responsibility from parcel collections at the warehouse and manage through to delivery to ASOS’ customers. Your day will be built around liaising with our parcel carriers, managing operational KPIs, ensuring our budgets are tightly controlled with Finance, and coordinating with internal partners like our warehouses, Trade, Customer Care and Tech. This role could require international travel, and if you are based in Leavesden or Barnsley then several days in London each week.
What You’ll be Doing
- Maintain our delivery solutions program for ASOS which provides an industry leading proposition to our customers.
- Oversee all carrier KPIs, SLAs, reporting and forecasting and provide data analysis back to internal stakeholders.
- Financially strong, able to manage a large transportation budget with multiple carriers and commercial models.
- Accountable for engaging, developing and continuously reviewing the delivery solutions strategy for the region, including delivering proposition enhancements.
- Responsible for outbound carrier selection (through structured tender processes).
- Responsible for controlling and driving down customer LITs (Lost in Transit) and WISMOs (Where is My Order) which have a direct impact on our bottom line.
- Create and maintain strong and lasting relationships with external suppliers.
- Forecasting and carrier planning, including for peak and holiday season.
- Financial management – review and report on weekly costs, understanding variances alongside implementing processes to manage as required.
- Owning and conducting regular carrier reviews.
- Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Who We’d Like to Meet
We’d like to meet someone with experience in the UK or EU parcel carrier market, or retailer supply chain experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment. Experience managing to budget targets is essential as you could be managing over £100m of annual spend. We believe working for ASOS is a special opportunity and are looking to meet candidates with energy and passion. If you have experience in a distribution, transport or logistics operation then we’d love to speak to you, but you’ll need to have great communication skills as part of your role will be presenting insights and business cases to develop your area and KPIs. There could be a requirement for international travel with this role, and if you are based in our Leavesden or Barnsley locations you need to be prepared to do a day or two a week in our London head office.
