As a member of the QA team, you will carry out tasks including day to day auditing of the site/area (GMP, CCP etc.), routine calibration and sampling checks as required by the site Quality Manual. Working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00, the successful applicant will provide valuable support to the Technical Team, however, flexibility will be required to cover other shift patterns (including nights) on occasions for such as holiday or sickness cover. Shift allowance will be payable for hours covered between 18:00 and 06:00.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor the quality of product from all lines by patrol and inspection
  • Ensure that products from all lines are audited daily and any non-conformance is brought to the attention of the shift Supervisor/Manager and record action on the process to be taken to resolve the issue
  • To carry out all good manufacturing practice (GMP), Critical Control Point (CCP), glass etc. audits as per the schedule
  • To carry out all sampling plans (product, micro swabbing, etc.) required
  • Ensure that Quality Assessments and Taste Panels are taking place to the agreed frequency
  • To ensure that all diligence paperwork is audited and corrective actions are generated as required to prevent reoccurrences of the issues highlighted
  • Check the quality of products against specification, colour standards and the standard of workmanship
  • To carry out calibration of food safety equipment (temperature probes, scales) as per the required schedules. Report any faults to the Engineering department
  • To monitor product weights, temperatures and quality standards to the required schedules
  • Conduct traceability and mass balance exercises when required
  • Ensure you promote a culture of high hygiene standards and that all team members maintain it
