Job description

ixed term for duration of Apprenticeship.

We are looking for two hard-working, motivated and enthusiastic people to join the Building Services team as Technical Support Apprentices. We’re welcoming applications from those that show potential, determination and a drive to succeed. In return we can give you the opportunity to start your career under the management of our experienced technical staff, whilst earning, learning and achieving a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship qualification.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting officers from technical disciplines in a fast moving and dynamic environment. You will provide support to technical specialists in areas such as joinery, electrical and mechanical services to help ensure compliance with statutory regulations, legislation, in house systems, corporate standards and policies. Excellent customer service skills are essential to support the efficient and effective running of Building Services and you will develop an understanding of the technical elements and trade specialisms within the team.

As a Technical Support Apprentice, you will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship within your designated place of work with Sunderland College. You will be supported through the apprenticeship by a College assessor and you will also receive regular mentoring in the workplace from your supervisor and team.

Previous experience is not necessary to apply for this role as full training will be provided. Candidates should possess good communication skills with the ability to work in a team and on your own initiative. You must either have or expect to achieve 3 GCSE’s at Grades 9 – 4 / A – C including Maths and English. Candidates who hold an equivalent and relevant qualification are also invited to apply. If you do not have the required qualifications, you will be assessed by the training provider to determine if you have the required skills, knowledge, and behaviours to complete the apprenticeship successfully.

Please note that all communication regarding your application for this post will be sent to the email address that you have registered online with North East Jobs, including your invitation to any online assessment you are required to undertake and your invite to interview if you are short-listed.
