ISG is a dynamic construction and engineering company deliver large, complex projects across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a an Electrical TSM to join our growing HTM division in delivering a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.
Role Purpose
To deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project goals by working with the Professional team, Trades, Vendors and applying ISG systems, procedures and culture.
The Role is a Management Position and the successful candidate will be expected to prepare and present reports, attend meetings with our Delivery Partners, Client and their Customers, and manage Engineering delivery on site, inclusive of Quality and Health and Safety. Commissioning is outsourced but ISG expects the TSM to be actively involved in the Commissioning and Closeout of the Project.
Key Accountabilities
To manage Temporary site Electrical utilities package of works for a pharmaceutical major project from procurement, installation, and commissioning, reporting into the Electrical Lead.
To identify problems and offer solutions.
The management of multiple general, specialist and services contractors.
The management and co-ordination of the Site wide Temporary Builders Supply.
The management and co-ordination of the Temporary Electrical Generator Supplies and the associated distribution, safety, and any required alterations.
The management and co-ordination of the Temporary Water Supplies.
The management and co-ordination of the permanent MEP and IT installation and commissioning of the Site Accommodation.
The management and co-ordination of the Earthing on site.
Assist in the development of the design and co-ordination of the including the mechanical and electrical services associated with logistics, security, CCTV access control , fire suppression, hydrant main, water main and data services.
Develop the quality control procedures, scheduling, sequencing works and modular construction.
Manage drawing production relevant to the temporary electrical package of works.
To review requests from construction teams on temporary electrical site requirements and liaise with electrical contractor to programme installation works.
Offer technical support and industry experience to the construction Team.
To monitor the temporary electrical installation to ensure compliance with H&S and electrical regulations.
Management of trade contractors, relevant for package of works.
Work with the trade contractors to establish quality sign off schedules for the package of works.
Review, monitor and inspect quality of workmanship on site, checks in line with Employer's requirements.
Monitor, trade contractor progress on site, hold regular progress meetings and highlight any programme risks and provide mitigation proposals.
Review, comment and approve RAMs.
Monitor Health and Safety compliance on site.
Managing temporary supplies for commissioning activities when required to meet programme dates.
Establish commissioning sign off's and understanding and delivery of commissioning strategy.
To assist the Commissioning Team deliver project completion.
To contribute information to the proposal team, if required.
To actively promote ISG philosophy and culture.
To produce precise and succinct project reports.
Monitoring of the programme and contributing to mitigation measures.
To offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
Promote and implement Zero Defects quality Initiative, ensure the project delivers to a high-quality standard.
To implement Best Practice to deliver safely and to schedule.
Skills & Experience
Knowledge of construction process.
Able to collate information from supply chain to prepare drawings and schedule.
Has been involved on construction projects in an electrical discipline.
Understanding of how to comply with a Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety management system.
Pharmaceutical experience.
Qualifications
Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
CSCS card holder
