Salary: Range 3 (£22,355 - £27,874) per annum / pro rata
Location: Fixed – Permanently office based at Rochester Library
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Part Time
Hours: 22 hours per week.

We are looking for individuals who love reading and have experience of working with the public. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential.

The post holder will work as part of the Library team to deliver a welcoming, proactive and responsive service including library evening events and activities. The job will also include providing information and referrals, accessing electronic information and general administrative support to include shelving, tidying and filing. Successful candidates will be expected to follow our high standards of customer care

Some evenings and Saturday duties will be required along with a willingness to work occasionally at other libraries within the Medway Council area.

Applicants should hold European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), or an equivalent IT qualification.
