Jeaton Ltd is one of the foremost distributors within the UK of industrial tapes, adhesives, abrasives, packaging products, stretch films, converted tapes, tools and personal safety products to all segments of industrial manufacturing. Based in Preston, Jeaton is a privately-run company formed in 1983, and has a sales presence throughout the UK and in some export markets.

Jeaton work with some of the industry’s leading manufactures including 3M, SAIT, Henkel, Orafol, Trioplast, Chicago Pneumatic and Trumpf amongst others. Many of these distribution rights are held on a Preferred or Exclusive basis which provides a distinct competitive advantage. The relationship it has with its suppliers is second to none with great technology and continued innovations, ensuring that Jeaton offers its customers the very best products. As well as supplying the highest quality products and technical expertise, Jeaton are committed to giving our customers a first-class service.

Due to continuing expansion of its business Jeaton is looking to create an additional Technical Sales Executive role located ideally within a radius of 80 miles from Preston. This role will report to the Business Sales Manager and will be focused on delivering sales of the entire range of Jeaton Industrial Products, and which will be primarily targeting and opening new customer accounts.

A probationary period of six months service is part of the conditions of engagement with the company.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Ideally with a home location within 80 miles of Jeaton HQ in Preston, Lancashire.
  • A flexible attitude to working from Jeaton HQ / home would be considered for the ideal candidate
  • Evidence based and successful previous sales experience within the Industrial Manufacturing Product sector (minimum 3-4 years).
  • Candidate must possess a “hunter” rather than a “farmer” type of sales mindset – highly motivated to get new orders and new customers.
  • Capable and confident of demonstrating industrial product solutions in a factory process environment.
  • Be comfortable, persistent, and resilient in making appointments with new prospects.
  • First class and demonstrable communication and negotiation skills (oral and written)

Required Personal Skills

  • Full IT literacy and capability with MS Office portfolio and all Social Media networks.
  • Proven and demonstrable user experience in using Social Media (LinkedIn) for customer networking, targeted sales programmes, key contact identification and appointment setting.
  • Comfortable with using company CRM tools.
  • Consistently high standard of personal presentation at all times.
  • Natural and inquisitive networker.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a field environment.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Possesses a high level of personal motivation and a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Good market knowledge of the industrial consumables sectors is a distinct advantage.
