About the role:
We are looking to partner with individuals who have proven business development skills to support us in growing Hark Digital, through increased revenue, selling our digital services to current and future contacts. We are interested in working with people who specialise in certain sectors, and therefore have an immediate ability to analyse our offerings, and work with us to introduce those offerings to their speciality sector.
Sales consultants will be able to sell our website, mobile application, progressive web application and search engine optimisation services, along with other hosting, service and maintenance packages.
Reporting to our Commercial Director, you will receive initial training and we will be available to take on board any requirements around marketing materials in order to support you in selling our services more, with improving conversion rates and profit margins.
What you will be doing:
There are zero time pressures or restraints from Hark Digital. We fully expect that you will want to build in our work around your current job perhaps, unless you plan to sell our services on a full-time basis. We are looking for you to build your own pipeline within sectors you know well and understand.
To summarise, we would look for our partners to:
- Identify potential clients through networking and following up leads
- Arrange meetings or calls with potential clients to present our services
- Persuade prospects to purchase services, in a consultative, open and transparent way.
Ethical sales are important to us
- Negotiating pricing with prospects, using our pricing calculators to ensure we sell great services that are commercially viable
- Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure they are happy with the services purchased
- Provide our operational teams with the correct project documentation, allowing the website or app to be developed in line with the clients’ expectations
- Ensure that clients have signed the relevant documentation before any work starts
- Participate in project delivery calls where required
- Addressing any client concerns or complaints, with support from our operational team
- Ensuring our CRM system is kept up to date with all client and prospect information
Who we are looking for:
- Experienced business development professionals
- Strong experience in specific sectors allowing you to mold our products to fit the needs of that sector
- Excellent communicator
- Experience of digital marketing or software sales could be an advantage
- Excellent organisational skills
- A natural networker who can develop their own pipeline
- Individuals with strong ethics around selling

Example commission scenario
In one month you might sell:
1 x basic website hosted by Hark Digital giving you £137.50 in one-off commission and a monthly commission of £6.90
1 x e-commerce website, with additional requirements and hosted by Hark Digital giving you £467 in one-off commission and a monthly commission of £38.00
1 x mobile app, hosted by Hark Digital giving you £380.00 in one-off commission and a monthly commission of £26.00
