\nWe are looking for a Technical Sales Consultant (Medical Devices) to join our Healthcare team. Working Monday to Friday, you will be based in or near our Raleigh facility in the US. Benefits include: 401(k) Retirement Plan. Medical & Dental, Life Insurance Coverage. 11 paid holidays: 8 fixed and 3 floating. Vacation – Progressive increase with years of service, starting at 2 weeks, with a maximum of 5 weeks at 20 years.
\nRole Purpose
\nThe purpose of this role is to grow the US Healthcare sector in line with Lucideon business plans through acquisition of new customers and development of existing clients in the medical device segments, including orthopedics, vascular and dental.
\nThe incumbent will liaise extensively with internal technical team members both in the US and the UK to scope high impact, high value solutions to match or exceed client requirements, requiring a collaborative, team player approach. This has to be combined with a desire to work in a results-oriented environment and a capability to develop and deploy exceptional sales and account management skills
\nAccountabilities
\n\n- \n
- To contribute towards achieving & exceeding Healthcare revenue and margin targets set by the business. \n
- To target and successfully penetrate new Healthcare clients in orthopaedic, medical device, vascular and dental segments throughout US, focusing on targeting defined prospects and selling services commensurate with Lucideon’s approach of developing long term partnerships with our key targets. \n
- To be highly visible in the marketplace, including considerable travel to face to face on site client meetings using excellent account management and networking techniques to map key stakeholders organizations and then selling Lucideon’s high value services. \n
- To work closely with Healthcare Business Unit, Operations, Product Marketing and Sales colleagues in the US, UK, and Europe to share best practice knowledge on the Healthcare marketplace and fully understand Lucideon’s value proposition to it. \n
- To comply with the Company’s performance standards for items such as CRM reporting, quotation production, monthly reporting and delegated authority. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Minimum of Batchelor’s degree in material science, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related technical discipline. \n
Experience
\n- \n
- It would be desirable to have some relevant experience in a related technical industry, with use of services equivalent to Lucideon’s proposition. \n
Knowledge/Skills

- Personable, good at listening, motivated by success, inquisitive and quick thinking – allowing them to develop a transformational selling process and build relationships with customers \n
- Skilled at networking and able to gain entry into and generate value with prospects who have not dealt with Lucideon before. They must have the ability to engage easily and credibly with both scientists and engineers at all seniority levels in science/engineering-based businesses. They should take interest in technical and commercial market developments and must have scientific/technical credibility. \n
- Excellent organization skills and proven ability to prioritize workload and prepared to work to sales target in order to achieve defined business metrics. \n
- Ability to work in a “one team” manner to resolve any challenges that arise internally or externally. \n
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral at all levels of seniority. \n
- The role is field-based but is expected to be located at our Raleigh facility for the first 6 months to gain knowledge and experience. \n
- The incumbent is expected to travel extensively within US to support clients. There may also be requirements for trips to our laboratories at Raleigh (NC), Schenectady (NY), Greenville (SC) or Stone (UK). \n
