About Role - Remote Technical PM ( Bilingual- Japanese & English)

A UK-based digital agency is looking for a dynamic, creative, Technical PM based in Japan to support the delivery of the new localised website hosted in Japan.
The role will be working with the client’s project teams based in Japan and the UK as well as
the solution development teams based in the UK. It will be a long term contract.
This is a fully remote role and requires fluency in both Japanese & English ( Written & Speaking )

As our Remote Technical PM you will be responsible for :
  • Creating, tracking and reporting timelines,
  • Maintaining the scope and quality for the lifecycle of the project,
  • Managing issues and risks as they occur and escalating when appropriate
  • Facilitating Budget management, tracking and adherence to the cost timeline
  • Ensuring Smooth, transparent coordination between the internal solution development teams and client stakeholders
  • Regular, clear and constructive communication with the client and the internal team (both in UK & China) throughout the project
  • Actively communicate with the stakeholders, team members, and clients

What do we value

  • Excellent Communication skills in both Japanese and English is a must have
  • Significant previous experience running website projects, applications and solutions working with remote based teams , minimum of 3 years is good to have
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience of project planning and estimating
  • Excellent collaborative skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrates familiarity with the challenges associated with driving process/business change, its aims and objectives and to be mindful of these when undertaking own accountabilities
  • Organised, calm under pressure. You will be a ‘can do’ person, somebody who sees challenges instead of problems
  • Persistent, tenacious and results oriented
  • Enjoys taking ownership and accountability
  • Knowledge of best practice project management frameworks e.g. DSDM Agile, PMI certification, Prince2 or similar
  • Experience using online project management tools e.g. Google Docs, Slack, JIRA, Teams etc
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • A results-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural, remote-team environment.
