As Technical Project Manager, you will be accountable for managing the technical aspects of delivering highly complex multi-site client projects working closely with the client in the provisioning of infrastructure required to host Oracle Cerner Millennium solutions. In addition to strong project management skills, a certain degree of technical experience will be required, although supported by technical architects. You will be expected to produce detailed technical plans taking delivery of solutions from design, build, test, deployment, through to service handover. In this client facing role you will be working closely with programme managers and solution architects internal to Oracle Cerner and client counterparts.
The Technical Project Manager position offers an excellent opportunity to perform in a client facing role and to also gain experience in Oracle Cerner’s wide portfolio of clinical applications. Oracle Cerner offers full training in the tools you will be using in your role and our aim is to ensure that associates are continually trained during their career to stay up to date in all the tasks they will be performing. The Technical Project Manager is part of our Integrated Technologies team and offers great growth opportunities towards more senior positions. You will be joining a large team of Technical Project Manager associates based all across Europe and will be based in our dynamic team in London.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems and Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 3 years of health care information technology (HCIT) work experience implementing Medical Technology solutions, such as device integration and imaging. Experience of working in environments where processes based on frameworks such PRINCE2, PMP & ITIL were followed
Preferred Experience:
- 3 year’s relevant work experience in system engineering or technical consulting work experience, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years additional experience, including at least 1 year in healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
Expectations:
- Willingness to travel up to 80%
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Project
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows
