We are working with a leading IT services company who offer comprehensive IT solutions and services, including infrastructure management, cloud services, and software development activities. The company is dedicated to delivering high-quality technology solutions to their clients and ensuring their business success through effective project management and effecting client relationships.
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team and lead projects that encompass various IT domains, including infrastructure, cloud services, and software development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery within budget, scope, and timeline. The role will involve working closely with clients, handling commercial terms negotiation, and overseeing contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, project plans, requirements, and design documents.
Develop and maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks and issues.
Forecast and manage project and resource costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal project execution and delivery.
Monitor and control project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, proactively addressing any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact for project-related activities.
Negotiate commercial terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.
Manage contracts with clients, ensuring compliance and addressing any contractual issues that arise.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and cloud teams, to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or questions.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive the implementation of best practices in project management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, handling complex projects in an IT services environment or within a project delivery team.
A reasonably understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software development concepts and practices.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts.
Experience in resource allocation and management, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
