What you’ll do
The PMO Manager will be aligned directly to a large complex customer facing project or programme, or programme, peering directly with their counterpart within the customer’s organisation, or aligned to the Central Delivery PMO.
This role will play a key part as the subject matter expert on project finances and will help drive Professional Services to become more commercially focused.
The role is the key driver in the high performing PMO team with a focus on the successful delivery of projects and programmes (and their associated benefits) to time, cost and quality, within the accepted risk profile. The PMO Manager will be an experienced leader have a high level of competence in all facets of PMO and establishes close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, able to effectively influence at a senior level.
Who you are
An individual with a demonstrable track-record working as a PMO Manager, successfully delivering multiple, large-scale, high value, high-risk projects or programmes. Your experience must include:
Creating and managing a high performing PMO/Assurance team and will be able to secure high colleague engagement and productivity though activity such as manpower planning, delivery support, coaching & mentoring and training plans
Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering complex projects and programmes to meet business expectations and deliver results.
Commercial awareness by identifying business opportunities to drive revenue.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills, along with the personal tenacity and the ability to drive through to conclusion in a dynamic and challenging environment.
A recognised qualification or certification in PMO / Assurance (P3O, ISEB) is highly desirable as is PRINCE2 or certification achieved in recognised project management methodology.
