Job description
We are currently looking for a Technical Production Manager to join our team here at 4Wall.
In this role you will be responsible for the management of the overall technical production of live events, both in person and/or livestreaming, focusing on the corporate and experiential market sectors.
You will oversee the technical production of high-profile events, delivered primarily in the UK, but with the opportunity to work globally.
In the short term, there will be a larger proportion of events that will still be delivered virtually from our own Studio 19, on the 19th floor of the Royal Lancaster London, but as live events pick up again, we expect the balance to shift more towards live events within the next 6 months.
Role and Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the technical production of a given event, whether it be Live, Green Screen or an xR production.
- Ensuring that an appropriate workflow has been selected for the given job and that any new hardware introduced has been well tested for compatibility.
- Ensuring that the crew are appropriate and are managed on the day.
- Where required, advising the Account Management Team on the most appropriate choice of equipment to achieve a given outcome, whilst maintaining a commercial awareness of the client’s budget.
- Alongside the Account Manager, liaising with the client to understand their technical needs in advance of and during the event.
- Ensuring that all technical elements of the production are in place to achieve the desired outcome, whilst also having an awareness of non-technical requirements.
- Providing on the spot diagnosis and technical expertise as required.
- Following safe working practices and maintaining Health & Safety standards.
- Contributing to post-event review meetings.
- Undertaking training as required.
- Strong technical ability - A broad technical knowledge base across all areas of video, sound, lighting, rigging, networking and IT.
- Experience in delivering technical, large scale live events.
- The ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
- Flexibility – the ability to travel and also facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evening and some weekend working.

- A great team player.
Full time – a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday- Friday.
Overtime will be required as necessitated by the needs of the business which will include early mornings, late evenings and weekends. Global travel and overnight stays will also be required. The ability to facilitate this is key as the needs of the business are paramount.
