- Act as the technical point of contact during the sales cycle, participating in discovery calls, running customised demonstrations, understanding and providing solutions to customers challenges, being a thought leader and trusted advisor, while building strong relationships with prospects, and participation in Sales account team meetings where required
- Contribute to BT bid documents (incl. RFI’s) detailing how BT One Phone meets functional, technical requirements
- Working with the Channel to make them self-sufficient to generate quality leads, qualify them, close these leads and where appropriate do initial demonstrations. This may include providing training, putting in place demonstration capabilities, conducting sales and commercial workshops and supporting lead generation activities.
- Underwrite and document Solution Design so that the BT proposal meets customers functional, technical and commercial requirements.
- Provide channel insight on the BTOP experience (product features, functionality, CX, etc) to the product management team - identify customer requirements, provide in-life feedback on product/ service performance, assessment of product development/ improvement opportunities
- Identify and own continuous improvement initiatives across pre-sales collaborating across wider BTOP/ BT teams as required
- As and when required support other BT One Phone functions in liaising with Customers in project kick offs and in life service issues
- Good understanding of the telecommunications sales channel, its competitors and their propositions across mobile and IP telephony
- Experience of being able to articulate/design/propose/sell FMC, Cloud and unified communications solutions
- Proven commercial experience in creating pricing strategies for deals across SME’s and larger customers
- Coaching sales teams on how to improve sales volume, average revenue per user (ARPU) and order quality, proactively identifying and driving improvements to internal processes where required
- Proactive, results-orientated, motivated, self-starter
- Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and high quality written and oral presentation skills
- Positive high impact communications, interpersonal and relationship management skills up to Director level
- Proven success in driving sales within a matrix organization
