Applications for the position of Technical Planning Engineer are now welcomed. Working within the Engineering Planning Department. This role requires a pro-active & detail orientated individual. The main focus is to ensure that each task instruction issued across the various fleets are correctly profiled, detailed & accurate to ensure proper compliance. We are accepting applicants for our Glasgow base or Aberdeen base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure constant compliance with the company’s Approved Maintenance Programmes, along with their associated procedures in order to meet the company’s Part M requirements.
- Research, design, structure and staging of all scheduled maintenance instructions from the published technical source documents. Including task lay-out, job staging, certification requirements, preload, tooling, back-up materials, external service requirements, task packaging, alignments & onward control.
- Support the Planning & Technical teams to ensure any Mod / STC /AD tasks are structured, to ensure proper management & capture of each task. To ensure clear certification is achieved, for onward compliance evidence.
- Perform on-going detailed fleet package / alignment analysis, to ensure we are getting the best out of each base maintenance visit.
- Continually take feedback from each of the Part 145 end users, to ensure each task quickly evolves into an on-going clear instruction for the next event.
- As part of a team, compile and analyse the maintenance history of each scheduled maintenance task or package, to ensure it is being performed at its optimum periodicity & make any recommendations for onward change.
- Support other Part M departments, as necessary - to ensure each task has added benefit.
- Perform various ad-hoc planning projects, assigned by the management team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- The suitable candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Planning / Aircraft Maintenance experience.
- They must have good team working skills & able to build strong relationships across the team.
- They should have a good working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and an excellent eye for detail.
- They must be proficient in using each aircraft / part manufactures manuals to define each task requirement.
- They should also have a solid working knowledge of Engineering Support systems, with OASES knowledge being advantageous as well as proper knowledge of the MS Office applications.
- Should have a thorough, detailed and analytical approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well on their own initiative
- Flexibility with an ability to adapt and respond to changing work demands whilst working under pressure
