Job description
Technical Operator - 12 Month FTC
Function: Brewery Operations
Location: Manchester
Salary: £27,274 plus shift allowance of £8,879.
Closing Date: Friday 31st March
Why Manchester?
There has never been a more exciting time to join our Manchester Brewery. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around five million hectolitres per year of Foster’s, Kronenbourg 1664 – and, more recently – Heineken®. We’re delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from our Amsterdam Head Office to brew Heineken on our site – and as a bonus, we’re making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.
What are we looking for?
We have an opportunity for a technical operator with a lean mind set and positive attitude. We need motivated self-starters who will be proactive in taking ownership of their area. Safety will be your number one priority – you will actively contribute to our Zero Accident Culture through leading by example and deliver high standards of cleanliness and reliability on our production plant. With an attention to detail, delivering FTR (First Time Right) on quality and process, you will be a champion of our C.I.L.T’s (cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening) tasks.
You will work alongside very capable team members who will help you out initially, along with your shift manager, - and once you’re settled you will be expected to help drive continuous improvement within your area through our Total Productive Management programme (TPM), this is similar to LEAN theories.
With solid qualifications in Maths & English and a good understanding of IT systems, you will be comfortable working in an automated manufacturing environment with a desire to continue your learning.

This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few.
Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
