Due to this continuing growth, an exciting opportunity exists to join the small, but highly skilled TechOps team based within our Bristol office. The team provide support to all areas of the business, with a primary focus on system availability and resilience, management of print production workflows, end user support and incident management. We also work closely with the Customer Happiness Team and Print Production facilities to ensure customer orders are dispatched on time.
Reporting to the Head of TechOps, this is a newly created role assisting the team with our day-to-day activities and is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop and shape an operational support role within a highly technical team, has an eye for detail.
Our Head Office is in Bristol, and we currently have a blended approach between office and home working.
Main Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries from staff
Daily monitoring of production numbers for internal & 3rd party fulfilment centres
Monitoring availability of key production services and resolving issues if the occur
Working with external IT suppliers as required to maintain service availability
Working with external IT suppliers to ensure new starters are setup in a timely manner
Assisting with the testing of production applications and processes
Supporting the ongoing evolution of our production processes
Providing feedback into our continual improvement strategy
Be part of our ‘on-call’ rota to cover the extended print times at night and weekends
Escalate any identified issues to the relevant teams
Helping prepare our regular reports for communication to the wider business
Carrying out minor IT moves within Bristol/Swindon locations
Assisting with the completion of documentation and ‘run-books’ for the team and wider business
Undertake small projects for the team with guidance and support from the senior team members
Key Skills Required
Good team work ethic with confidence to use initiative when required
Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel & PowerPoint
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products
Experience working in similar support type role
Ideally an understanding of print production processes and digital file formats.
Any knowledge of Cloud Computing would be advantageous.
Any experience in graphic design (basic Photoshop skills in particular), will be beneficial,
