About the role:
Mulesoft is a powerful, API driven, integration tool designed to help FDM connect its systems together to provide more robust data management across its estate, along with creating opportunities for data automation and validation to provide a better user experience across all departments which utilise IT systems.
FDM Group is putting together a Mulesoft Team to implement and support Mulesoft, as part of FDM’s continued drive to provide a connected and digital workspace. A typical day as a Mulesoft developer will include working across the Software Development Lifecycle to design and implement technical solutions for the business according to a prioritised roadmap, as well as providing an escalation for support if there are issues arising with solutions. This will involve working alongside Project Managers, Business Analysts, Junior Developers, Testers, and other system owners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop MuleSoft APIs and integrations with other systems and applications (both SaaS and internal)
- Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and development methodologies
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions
- Develop and maintain integration architecture and governance policies
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement integration solutions that align with the overall technology strategy
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues related to integrations and API
What we are looking for:
- Degree level or similar
- 3+ years of experience in MuleSoft development and integration
- Practical knowledge of (Mule) application design & implementation and enterprise integration concepts
- Experience with integration tools and technologies, including API Gateway
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools and processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment
Desirable but not essential:
- Management, team lead or mentoring experience
- Knowledge or experience of Software-as-a-Service based systems such as Salesforce, SAP, or similar
- Scrum Master certification
- Experience with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
