The Peterborough Specialist Support Service (formerly Targeted Youth Support Service) is looking for a skilled and experienced Team Manager to oversee the work of a vibrant Youth Justice team. This group of talented and dedicated professionals, work with children and young people with the aim of preventing them from offending and achieving every aspect of Every Child Matters.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent operational knowledge of current legislation and procedures relating to Youth Justice and Children’s Services. The post holder will also have a strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and have a proven ability to work with this approach to extra-familial harm. The outstanding candidate will also have knowledge of Children’s Social Care, restorative justice and preventative work. They will be working within a management team delivering in these areas. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a high performing team that deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people, and families.
The post holder will have substantial experience in Youth Justice and the ability to work flexibly and creatively.
