As a Server and Hosting technical Lead you will play a key part of the Infrastructure & Cloud team acting as the most technical resource within the organization. You will be accountable for the strategy and operation of our servers and on-premise hosting platforms as well as working with our Principal Cloud Tech Lead to jointly own our Cloud IaaS and PaaS platforms. This includes VMWare environments, physical servers, storage platforms, server platforms and Azure environments. Acting as TDA (Technical Design Authority) for all server and hosting related architecture design and influencing change to benefit the business and technology vision. The right person will deliver unquestionable expert knowledge to stakeholders, working end to end across HLD and LLD design documentation.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Oversee the technical leadership of the organization, developing solutions and services utilizing server and hosting technologies- Leading technical engagement with programmes, architects, engineers, operations, and acting as the sole subject matter expert
- Developing technical systems strategy aligned to the technology vision
- Accountable for the technical designs across the operational systems, new projects and to support the overall technology vision with modern ways of working
Key skills and experience:
Solid experience of designing, building and supporting different server and hosting technologies including (VMWare, Windows, Linux and Storage platforms) in a complex environment- Familiar with managing legacy server environments (AIX, Solaris, OpenVMS, Mainframe)
- Experience in integrating with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SSO solutions.
- Experience designing solutions to manage infrastructure at scale such as utilizing group policy, config management tooling and other automation solutions.
- Experience in enterprise grade patching, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience in Storage technologies such as IBM, Netapp, Pure Storage
- Strong experience with data centre modernization and migration to public cloud.
- Experience in public cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
- Competent with infrastructure management of database technologies including OracleDB, MSSQL, MongoDB, AzureSQL
