WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This role is offered on a Site Based Contract with a Hybrid Working Pattern, which can be discussed with the recruitment team during the hiring process.

In the Insurance and Wealth Management product IT team, we create and maintain applications for the bank in various technologies using online applications (APIS, Microservices), we also have processes in Spark/Scala in Hadoop and some other legacy components in mainframe.
The role will provide technical analysis and coding skills in JAVA (Springboot) mainly for APIS and MSs on all aspects of business change and on-going projects. you will be required to collaborate to solve problems and find solutions on what can be a complex and challenging environment.
The role will manage E2E from software design and development to release to final customer, including testing and deployment activities. You will be involved in the design discussions in order to get the most appropriate solution which then will help to gain functional knowledge and experience in the Insurance domain for the application maintenance.

- Understanding the vision and detailed requirements from the business. Asking the right questions & gathering relevant information from appropriate sources
- Delivering quality technical solutions to plan and within budget
- Supporting project delivery activities from initiation through to production release
- Reporting on project progress, identifying risks and potential bottlenecks and recommending appropriate mitigating actions
- Ensuring the software adheres to the bank’s principles regarding methodology, design, technology, security and good practice
- Analysing existing software solutions to be able to take ownership of existing applications within our domain
What you’ll bring.
- Proven experience as a Technical business analyst within product teams or wider software delivery programs
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer with JAVA (Springboot) extensive knowledge
- Good programming skills following design and security principles
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills
- Experience of working within Agile product teams, utilising key tools like GCC, Jira, Confluence, etc
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Git, Jenkins, etc
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Experience of new stack IT solutions e.g: APIs, Microservices, Cloud based solution
- Experience of the Financial Industry, specifically Wealth and Insurance
What else you need to know.
This is a full-time permanent role to be based in Milton Keynes working on a hybrid basis.
