And right now, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team at Saga. You will be guiding our development teams in the best approach to deliver solutions and will also support across Business Intelligence and Data Science using the Digital and Data strategy to guide the roadmap.
Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering and working with other colleagues across Saga, you will play a key role in shaping our Data Solutions, defining our approach to delivering technical documentation to support data platforms.
Additionally, you will oversee the delivery of documentation and design blueprints for our platforms and collaborate with internal teams using the data and technology. You will also be responsible for advising and contributing to project planning and delivery.

Main Responsibilities- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements to deliver technical documentation and designs.
- Developing requirement specifications based on business needs.
- Elicit requirements using document analysis, requirements, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- Developing and delivering complex data ETL pipelines, ensuring data is gathered correctly and securely.
- Following trends and advancements in data, leading the conversations on improvements, best practices and procurement of technology.
- Following our Governance and Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
- Continually looking for innovative ways to make improvements based on the latest trends and research.
- Effectively managing stakeholders and external providers.
- Participating in internal and external events and sharing best practices with colleagues.
- Demonstrable experience of working with data solutions including data warehousing, data visualisation and architecture.
- Proven experience of change management, delivery, and analysis.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with JIRA, Snowflake, Tableau.
- Ability to translate complex solutions to wider non-technical audiences.
- Strong documentation and requirements gathering experience.
- Effective Communication skills.
