Job description
The Technical Business Analyst will analyse business processes across a range of clinical and nonclinical services, documenting the resulting business and digital workflows and, where appropriate,
drawing upon this documentation to support the development of business cases for technology enabled change.
They will work with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to engage, elicit, define, document, communicate and validate functional and non-functional processes and requirements. This is a 'full lifecycle' role, with possible involvement in business case development, procurement, design,
development, testing and implementation.
They will typically work on a number of assignments simultaneously; assignments will vary in scale and complexity, with the duration ranging from a few days to several months.
Analyses and evaluates business processes; identifies alternative solutions, including assessment of process feasibility and articulation of process requirements.
Models current and desired scenarios as directed, using appropriate modelling techniques; gains agreement from subject matter experts and works with stakeholders to resolve issues with resulting models.
Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities with the aim of seeking effective business solutions.
Analyses stakeholder objectives and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems; identifies options for consideration.
Facilitates workshops with stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines
Develops specifications of functional and non-functional requirements for new applications, software and information systems.
Ensures that documentation is reviewed and approved in line with departmental and Trust governance arrangements.
Supports the development of business cases for new applications.
