Legal technical assistant
We are currently looking for a legal technical assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for –
To assist and support the Child Care lawyers by undertaking administrative and clerical tasks to include the photocopying of Court documentation and the filing and serving of documents. Applicants will be expected to be flexible. Whilst there is a mix of hybrid working it is essential that some of the work is carried out in our offices.
The main duties of the post;
To provide general administrative support to the team to include the photocopying/ serving of Court documentation and the filing and serving of documents and any other clerical duties reasonably required by the Service Manager.
To maintain the team’s filing and other management systems.
Such other duties and responsibilities as from time to time required by the Team and within the capabilities of the post holder.
To open and close files ensuring the documents are saved to the system.
To include processing of invoices.
This is an outline description of the job as it presently exists. The job description will be examined periodically and updated to ensure that it relates to the job as then being performed, or to incorporate whatever changes are proposed by the Authority. Any such changes will be subject to consultation with the postholder. It will be the Authority’s aim to reach agreement to reasonable changes but, if agreement is not possible, the Authority reserves the right to insist on changes, following consultation.
You will have experience in/of - Previous experience in the field of child care law - desirable.
Ideally you will have;
Possess 4 GCSE’s at Grade C or above, one of which must be either English or Welsh, plus Mathematics, or a qualification of a comparable level (eg Intermediate GNVQ Level 2, BTEC First Certificate, NVQ Level 2).
