Technical Assistant

British Airways Engineering Wales is home to BA’s world class engineering team, and we would like to welcome applications for our latest Technical Assistant role within our British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC) business.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a skilled and experienced Operations Support team supporting BAMC planning activities:
, Engineer work tasks, methods and tooling to maximize safety, reliability and cost in the production organisation.
Timely investigation, resolution and compilation of queries on reporting systems from production organisation to support the delivery of in work aircraft and improve maintenance documentation.
Manage, engineer and plan D3s and D7s to the required standard.
Provide concise and unambiguous maintenance documentation form approved data.
Support the Planning process with significant incoming defects and first-call maintenance tasks. work collaboratively with the team to keep all procedures and documentation up to date.
Ownership of task card database and work with production to keep all task lists to the standards required.
Pro-actively identify solutions to production issues. Interface between Production organisation, Part M and Operational Support.
Ensure compliance with all appropriate company legal and regulatory requirements and any other regulations as directed by line manager or the business.
· Operational activities as required to support the satellite team and deliver the aircraft on time.

We will also need you to have the following qualifications/experience:
· HNC/ Aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent.
· Broad understanding of aircraft maintenance.
