As part of the Insight data team, you will be responsible for our whole data estate. Working with the wider ASOS data services department to ensure the Insight teams have all the data they need. The aim is to bring all data points available to ASOS together to be easily accessed and drive insight and analysis for the business.
We are looking for a data-driven person who is comfortable using many different sources of data across multiple systems. The goal is to increase the variety, depth, and ease of use of data for an audience of analysts of varying skills.
You'll need to work collaboratively with various teams to source and surface new data sets as well as continually improve existing ones.
You will work with stakeholders across the business, gaining a better understanding of their needs to then work with analysts to fulfil requests. You'll to see your work being implemented to have a direct improvement in the experience for the customer.
What you'll be doing...
- Delivery of a varying range of simultaneous data focused projects
- Supporting data for projects across SSMS and Databricks
- Building and supporting data pipelines for both internal and 3rd party sources
- Be Insight's point of contact to the wider data services department
- Key person for database management and data structuring
- Work with a variety of insight functions to help meet their data needs (Customer, Marketing, Retail, Research)•Proactively bringing new ideas to the table relating to business questions, analytics approaches, datasets and ways of working.
We’d love to meet someone with...
- Strong SQL Skills
- Knowledge of Python desirable
- Microsoft SQL Server, SQL BI Stack experience, Databricks (desirable)•Understanding of Dimensional Data Modelling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
- Good organisational, written and oral communication skills
- A passion for data and problem solving
- Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a good team player
