We are looking for a Technical Author to join our TPG Maritime Ltd team in
Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team, who
are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering
systems.
The Role
This Technical Author position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of
the business, where we develop life-support systems in critical workspace, oxygen
and carbon capture based solutions, water purification, rugged electronics for harsh
environments and precision engineering of high-integrity equipment.
The Technical Author will research, develop, write and review technical information
and guidance for new and existing products and publications such as reports and
manuals sent to UK and oversees customers. This will be achieved by working with
internal and external teams to gather and analyse new and existing content. You will
be working on multiple projects, producing high quality documentation.
About You
To deliver this role you will have excellent written skills, with a background in
creating and controlling technical documentations. You will have an ability to quickly
understand technical concepts and convert them into straight forward text and
diagrams. Ideally you will be someone who has gained either professional or
academic qualifications in Engineering or a Science discipline with a passion for the
sector.

Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site
access.
Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing
and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting
their employment with the company.
o To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK
residency.
