Overview

Technical Software Delivery Lead


A Technical Software Delivery Lead will drive various programs and/or complex project initiatives that meet the needs of our diverse customer base in a fast-paced environment with colleagues and customers located worldwide. Success in this role means the Delivery Lead is exceptionally attentive to detail, is skilled at forecasting and planning deliverables, milestones, and tasks activities. S/he possesses strong influencing skills and enjoys working with others of diverse backgrounds.


A Technical Software Delivery Lead carries technical knowledge into strategic conversations about the Integration Services’ offerings. Since long-term road mapping requires an understanding of technical capabilities, having a person with this knowledge as part of the discussion provides a significant benefit. Working experience in the Air Transport Industry (Airport Operations and Passenger Processing are preferred) is a must to have for this role.

What you will do:

  • Pre-Sales Phase - Collaborate with the Bid Teams (or Solution Specialists), Solution Architects, and Business Consultants to strategize Solution Design and Project Delivery proposal which caters Customer’s end-to-end requirements (a well-agreed Project Scope) inside the well-established Software Engineering Principles and Best Practices within the Product Engineering and Integration organization
  • Managing programs and/or projects - Program and project sizes will vary in scope and complexity. You can efficiently and effectively manage your project workload throughout its life cycle - from bidding and inception through project closure. You can build business cases and develop capacity plans. You can control change, mitigate risks, and deliver results as committed. You regularly track project activities against plan schedules and take corrective action against any deviations. Exceptional attention to detail, effective time management and influencing people skills are key ingredients to be successful in managing projects.
  • Working with project teams - Every program or project is completed through team effort. You work effectively with team members that may be local or distant. You can easily and effectively communicate and negotiate up and down the organizational hierarchy. Your communication activities cover team members, management, stakeholders, and customers alike frequently ensuring that there is continuous understanding and alignment regarding project progress.
  • Working with and for customers - You are committed to putting the customer first. As a result, you proactively work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction.
  • Project Management administration - Your ability to write clearly and simply are key skills to documenting project activities. The documentation ranges from developing communications strategy plans, designing resource and project plans, providing status reports, submitting, and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues, providing variance reports to providing Portfolio Management Office reports and lessons learned.
  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment; take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
  • Develop Talent and assess training needs for the team members and ensure they are adequately trained.
  • Represent the Product Engineering and Integration in ISO audits.
  • Create and runs any SOWs (Statement of Work) with offshore partners, working with offshore directorate.

Qualifications

Who you are:
  • Working experience in the Air Transport Industry
  • Excellent Technical background with valuable experience in Software Development, Testing and Agile methodologies
  • Preferred: Scrum Alliance CSM (Certified Scrum Master®) certification (or equivalent) and Aviation Domain background
  • Valid UK or EU passport
  • Possesses a rudimentary understanding of Scaled Agile Framework
  • Must have a track record of success in managing multiple projects and small programs including complexities, budgets, and deliverables within a commercial environment
  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Experience of various technologies, data structures, development best practice and Object-Oriented Design principles and their application to problem-solving, with a background in Java and .NET development
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with others inside and outside the project team who provide decision-making, information, or support
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
