Technical Officer - Grade SO2
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, reliable and hardworking Technical Officer to join the Voids Team within Property Management
You will undertake inspections to council assets in order to collect asset related information, determine stock condition and identify, diagnose, and develop solutions to building related issues in-line with internal policies and procedures.
You will provide day to day contract liaison and effective communication and correspondence between customers, council staff, external agencies, contractors and supply partners.
You will monitor the delivery of the work from when the work starts up until completion. This will include on site supervision of contractors and supply partners to ensure that delivery is achieved in a customer focused way, safely, to acceptable standards and charged accordingly in-line with the contract/supply agreement.
We are looking for someone who will ensure that high levels of efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality is achieved within an agreed budget, whilst ensuring maximum performance in accordance with the targets, standards and policies of the Council.
You will support the delivery of service plans and ensure the continuous and on-going innovation and improvement of the service. This in-line with council objectives in-order to achieve excellence.
HND/HNC Level qualification in Building / Construction or equivalent experience within the construction industry
Whilst there is no automatic progression to any more senior posts, opportunities do exist for advancement and promotion, dependent upon normal staff movements and on the capabilities of the individual post holder.
