Centrica Storage Limited (CSL), have an exciting new position for a Technical Analyst. Reporting to the Reservoir & Regulations Technical Manager the main responsibility will be the day-to-day maintenance of the PLANC database for the business, including monitoring of deadlines, activity planning/ progress and reporting.
Location: Hybrid (office/home) with travel to our Woodland House office, Hull, UK
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Reservoir & Regulations Technical Manager with the introduction of the PLANC database into the business and maintain the database once in place.
- Main CSL administration point of contact for the various Regulators – managing the Regulatory Mailbox, directing enquiries to appropriate person, action tracking, compiling data, filing reports etc.
- Support the wider HSE & Technical team with all SAP requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders in the business, including Technical Authorities & Managers, Onshore/Offshore Management and Operational teams.
- Analyses complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
- Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
- Assist the Reservoir & Regulations Technical Manager in maintaining standards and controls related to the Reservoir & Regulations team.
- Provide support for the co-ordination of generation of specific licensing reports.
- Manage regulatory visits to the assets or offices, coordinating with both the regulator & the correct CSL technical manager.
- Develop PowerBI dashboards for the Reservoir & Regulations Team.
- Responsible for the development and upkeep of the Reservoir & Regulations Team Sharepoint site to ensure awareness and performance information is accessible to the rest of the business.
Technical Skills & Education
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
- Ideally educated to a degree level, in an engineering or an analytical field would be beneficial.
- Considerable IS skills in the use of Windows, Microsoft applications including Excel.
- Experience with SAP & PowerBi would be very useful.
- Previous experience of managing a technical database would be useful but not essential.
- Awareness of the UK oil & gas regulations would be ideal but not essential.
