Trainee Financial Services Technical Administrator (Paraplanner)
Permanent full-time
Oswestry, Chester or Shrewsbury depending on location - Office based
£27,500 + study support + pension + progressive holiday entitlement
The Role
A Trainee Paraplanner is sought by a growing financial services firm who have established an excellent reputation for the level of service and expertise that we offer to a growing client base of HNW individuals and business owners. Due to an increase in levels of work, we seek to recruit an individual who will already have experience in the financial services or banking sector. You will be supported by an experienced team of professional advisers and Paraplanners.

We are an FCA regulated, directly authorised advice firm. We specialise in advising retail clients on efficient investment and financial planning strategies in line with our Centralised Investment Proposition. Day to day responsibilities
- Answering the telephone and directing calls
- Data entry using back-office system
- Preparing client files for adviser meetings ensuring all paperwork and forms are available
- Provide general admin support to the Advisers
· Processing new business applications, both paper based and online, then seeing cases through to completion
· Administering fund switches and portfolio rebalances
· Prepare suitability reports and write recommendations liaising with the Financial Adviser
· Provision of administration and technical support to a team of Financial and Chartered
Advisers and Paraplanners
· Provision of technical reports
· Conduct research into financial product providers and investments
· Analysis of statistics
· Ensuring compliant with FCA regulations
· Client liaison
. To take responsibility for planning and prioritising own work
Requirements
· Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Organised and efficient administration skills to meet demanding deadlines
· Previous experience in the financial services sector desirable
· A high standard of professionalism and presentation
· Willingness and ambition to study towards continuing professional qualifications
- Subject to DBS and credit reference checks
