Join GSK’s Tech Business Partnering Apprentice Programme – UK, 2023: Help us get ahead of disease together

GSK Level 7 Apprenticeships are full-time, early starter jobs that offer graduates the opportunity to begin their career while studying towards their post graduate qualification. This postgraduate qualification is fully funded by GSK.


Education required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or similar


Language requirement:
Written and spoken fluency in English

Salary: A starting salary of £34,300 per year

Duration: 2 years

Preferred requirements:

  • Understand and articulate technology behind the digital channels
  • Understand omnichannel marketing
  • Curious to learn new technology, processes and ways of working
  • Ability to work and communicate with different stakeholders at market/region and global level.

Other requirements:

  • If offered a position the candidate must be willing to enroll, and meet entry requirements, as stipulated for the MSc Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist (IT Strategy Specialist) at Aston University
  • Must be able to commute twice a week to the GSK offices in and around the London area

Tech Business Partners at GSK are responsible for working with specific areas of our company to understand their needs and connect them to the Tech solutions to solve their problems. Our therapy-area aligned Tech Business Partners build relationships that enable them to anticipate their therapy area’s needs proactively, bringing recommendations to the teams that enable them to increase their performance.


Ahead together with tailored training and career development

Our Tech Business Partnering apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge to navigate the tech landscape at GSK, enabling you to partner with specific therapy areas and work with regional and global teams to help solve their digital and technology needs.


This entry-level, development opportunity offers you the chance to study towards a nationally recognised, post-graduate qualification while making a strong start to your career. Our apprentices attend college part-time studying theory elements of the apprenticeship while working at a GSK main office.

A Tech Business Partnering apprentice will study towards an MSc Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist (IT Strategy Specialist) with Aston University. Over the 24 months on the programme, you will spend most of your week working on projects aligned with customer engagement teams, providing you with early responsibility to help you develop and progress. The aim, on successful completion of the programme, is to secure a permanent role as a Digital & Technology Solution Specialist at GSK.

What will you do?

  • Work with Europe Regional and UK Local Digital & Tech Teams for the implementation of PowerUp programme (omnichannel programme) for Commercial and Medical Teams
  • Partner with the key brand teams for the omnichannel transformation of the UK market
  • Work as a member of key brand Agile Boards representing Tech
  • Work on the Digital & Tech demand of the therapy areas and deliver projects with the involvement of other stakeholders at market, region and global level.
