Yard Crew - Full-Time Role

Located on the North Shore of Vancouver Harbour, Lions Gate Marine Centre offers boaters secure dry-
storage and service yard to accommodate projects of all sizes, from annual maintenance such as engine
repair, winterization and bottom painting, to installs and large repair jobs. We are in search of a full-time
Yard Crew who is responsible for:
• Support boat launches, haul outs and storage by acting as a spotter.
- Pressure wash boats as they are hauled out of the water to prepare them for storage or servicing.
- Ensure that the dock, boat storage and work bays are always clean and ready for the next job.
- Place keel blocks and stands under vessels in accordance with the size of the vessel.
- Assist boat owners, onsite trades, and guests with the haul out and launching of their boats.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues, boat owners and trades to ensure the safe movement of vessels on
- Mange assigned tasks and projects from start to finish.
- Maintain a customer focused, professional, and positive demeanour while on the premises.
- Be aware and capable of preventing hazardous situations before they become critical.
- Adhere to procedures to ensure boat yard safety and cleanliness. Report any hazards, problems, or complaints to

• Valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Proficiency in English

• The Marine Centre is open 7 days a week.
- Shift days and hours will vary depending on operational demand and staffing levels which will include evenings
and weekends.
