Job description
Responsibilities:
- Welcome & greet riders, check in and validate bookings for the day
- Assemble and provide kayaks, paddles and safety equipment to riders
- Clearly communicate safe kayaking, water safety and equipment policies to our riders during orientation
- Assist paddlers in filling out waivers/process payments via POS device
- Assist with relocating kayaks returned downstream to upstream to our launch site
- Provide each customer with an exceptional experience by developing strong relationships and meeting customer needs
- Keep equipment (i.e. kayaks, life vests, paddles) clean and in good working condition
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent people and communication skills both in person and phone
- Experience working in team-based setting that is goal directed
- Ability to multitask, detail oriented and driven
- Physically able to lift 40lbs (bending, stretching, standing on feet for long periods of time)
- Comfortable with working near water, ability to adapt and accept direction in a dynamic environment with changing demands.
Assets (Good to have):
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C Certification, which must be dated no more than 2 years from the certification date
- Kayak experience
- Swimming experience, lifeguard certification, or water safety training is also considered an asset

Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week
Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

- St. Albert, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
