This is but a small taster of what we would expect in this role:
- Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms. By keeping on top of these tasks, you’ll keep our hotels looking great and working well.
- Maintains accurate records, reports documentation according to our policy procedures (we do this by using our maintenance reporting system efficiently).
- Responsible for reporting to the Maintenance Manager and/or Group Property Manager any events or outstanding works that could affect our hotel operation or guests’ services prior to the end of the shift.
- Participate in and complete any Preventative Maintenance tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager/Group Property Manager
- Ensure any tools, supplies or equipment are secured when not in use.
- Must follow at all times Group Policies and Procedures with regards to Fire, Health Safety, Security and HACCP standards.
- Be familiar with, and understand technical details of any plant, services and equipment within the hotel.
- Keep standards high when ensuring public areas are clean and presentable.

What we are looking for:
- Communication Skills – Our guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you will need to be easy to talk to.
- Knowledge! Have a basic understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
- Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so that every one of our guests leaves with great memories.
- Flexibility – nights, weekends and bank holiday shifts all come as part of the job!
- Fitness –You will also be on your feet for most of the day, also be prepared to bend and kneel a lot. There may also be some heavy lifting involved.
- Team Player – working as part of a tight knit team you will need to be a strong team player.
